FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We receive a high volume of emails at Coast Salish Arts, and it may take us some time to respond to your request.
Please take the time to read through our frequently asked questions, below:
Q. Do you have (example title) print?
A. We only have the prints that are included in the “Available Works” section. You can try contacting galleries that carry Susan’s work, as they may have print editions that Coast Salish Arts have sold out.
Q. Does Susan accept logo design or artwork commissions?
A. Yes, Susan is always happy to talk about commissioned projects.
If you’re interested in commissioning a piece of artwork, please email with information on the kind of work you are interested in – medium (e.g. cedar, glass, metal, etc.) deadline, and approximate budget. This helps us to give you an idea of what might be possible.
Q. Can you tell me more about (example title) artwork?
A. Susan sometimes produces a written accompaniment to her artwork, and if one exists, then we are happy to share it with you. Susan prefers to let her work speak for itself, and in many cases there will be no “write-up” available.
Q. Can I use (example title) artwork for my tattoo?
A. No. Susan receives a lot of requests for her work to be used as tattoos, but she doesn’t
give permission for her artwork to be used in this way.
Q. Does Susan give classes, or mentor young artists?
A. Susan doesn’t give regular classes.
In the past, she has been invited to lecture, and to be a part of artist-in-residence programs, with great organizations like Pilchuck Glass School, Evergreen State College, and Xá:ytem.
